35th Annual UC Computing Services Conference (UCCSC)
August 7-9, 2017 San Diego, California

This year's University of California Computing Services Conference (UCCSC) will be held at the beautiful UC San Diego. The conference will open Monday evening, August 7th with a welcome reception event at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps followed by two full days of programming and closing after dinner on Wednesday, August 9th.

Important Registration Information

Important Notes:

Only on-campus housing reservations can be made through this reservation system. If you would like to stay in an off-campus hotel, you will need to make your own reservations. A link to alternative accommodations can be found here on the Accommodations tab.

Also, after-hours activities such as campus, data center, and art tours will be a separate reservation. Check the conference website for updates.

Accepted Speakers and Community Award – Research IT Recipients will still need to register for the event. You will be issued a code for use during registration that will waive your registration fees.

Payment Policy
100% payment is due at the time of registration. Payment method is by intercampus/interdepartmental recharge or credit card (AmEx, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa) or by Index Number. The mandatory CVV code is the last 3 digits on the reverse side of the credit cards and 4 digits printed on the front of the AmEx Cards.

Cancellation Policy & Deadline
Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to meetings@ucsd.edu

  • All cancellations are subject to loss of the administration fee(s): $15 for Conference Registration.
  • Cancellations before or on June 9, 2017, registrants will receive a full refund for conference and/or housing fees, less administration fee(s).
  • Cancellations made 10 June – July 20, registrant will forfeit 50% of their housing and/or conference fees, less administration fee(s).
  • Cancellations made on or after July 21, 2017, registrant will forfeit full fees for conference and/or housing fees.
  • Full refunds or partial refunds will not be processed for registrants who choose to leave their program early.
  • Payment made for registrations may not be transferred from one annual meeting to another. All cancellations policies apply.
  • Refunds may take up to thirty (30) days to be processed.

Room Rates and Accommodations

  • Shared bedroom (Shared bedroom, shared apartment): $75.00 per person per night.
  • Private bedroom (Private bedroom, shared apartment) $85.00 per person per night.
  • Family housing apartment (One conference registration plus spouse and child): $170.00 per apartment per night.

Housing accommodations are located in the Warren Apartments on the UC San Diego Campus. Each apartment unit has two (2) bedrooms, shared bathroom, a living room, and kitchen. (No kitchenware provided).

If you are part of a couple that would like to be housed in an apartment with only yourselves as occupants, both must select Private Bedroom and indicate each other's names in the Apartment Mate/Roommate field.

On campus housing is organized with up to four (4) persons of the same identified gender. You will be able to requests specific apartment mates during the registration process. 

Family housing apartment will only be occupied by the conference registrant, spouse, and child(ren).

Included in the On-Campus Nightly Housing Rate:

  • On-Campus accommodations in a private bedroom or shared bedroom or family housing apartment.
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. First Meal is dinner on arrival date, last meal is lunch on departure date, if staying past conference date. Family housing apartment only includes meals for the conference registrant.
  • Beds are made upon arrival with one (1) blanket and one (1) pillow.
  • One (1) set of towels that can be refreshed upon request during stay.
  • Clothing hangers, portable fan, and toiletries.
  • Service includes twice (2) weekly cleaning of common areas and trash removal.
  • Internet (Wireless not guaranteed).

Not included in On-Campus Nightly Housing Rate:

  • Air-conditioning in Housing areas
  • Parking (Permits are sold separately and will be available to purchase in advance starting May of 2017)

Important Accommodation Registration Information:

  • UC San Diego is a smoke-free campus.
  • All guests must complete a Waiver of Liability upon check-in, and comply with the University Rules and Safety Regulations.
  • Accommodations are assigned by gender. If you would like to have a gender inclusive unit, you must indicate you are fine with gender inclusive apartments and roommates will need to request each other and indicate they are fine with the cohabitation.


The earliest check-in date is Friday, August 5, 2017; check-in time is after 4:00pm on your arrival date.

The latest check-out date is Sunday, August 12, 2017; check-out time is by 11:00am on your departure date.

To complete your registration, you must create a login for the registration process. This login will allow you access to your reservation(s) for changes such as date changes, roommate/Apartment Mate updates, and it will also allow you to create multiple reservations under one unique login identification, etc.

Registering Multiple Conference Attendees Under One Login Account
Use this option if you are registering more than one person for the conference/meeting and are paying the Conference/Meeting Registration Fees for these people. By using this option, you are using one login account to manage all registrations. Access your account by logging in here and selecting the “Registrations” option from the menu (Noted by the red box below). Once you are here, you may select “Create Additional Registration” next to the completed registration (noted by the purple box below). Continue through the registration process through to payment.
