Dear colleagues,
The 51st Annual Silicon Symposium has been postponed due to the global health concerns revolving around Covid-19, or Coronavirus. There have now been two confirmed cases of the virus reported on the UC San Diego campus. Your attendance/support/visit is very important to us, but our first priority is the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
We plan to reschedule the 2020 symposium for sometime in the fall. We will let the community know via email and provide updates on the symposium website: https://sisymposium.com/
The current abstract submission will be closed, and we will be send out a new request for abstracts later this year.
All registrations will be refunded. If you have any questions regarding your registration, please contact meetings@ucsd.edu.

Conference Cancellation Policy & Deadlines:
- All cancellations must be submitted via the web registration website. See FAQ informational tab.
- All cancellations are subject to loss of the administration fee(s): $55.00 for Conference Registration.
- Cancellations made before or on March 31, 2020 (03/31/2020) will result in a full refund for conference fees, less administration fee(s).
- Cancellations made April 1, 2020 (04/01/2020) to May 31, 2020 (05/31/2020), will result in a forfeit of 50% of conference fees, less administration fee(s).
- Cancellations made on or after June 01, 2020 (06/01/2020), result in a forfeit of 100% of conference fees.
- Full refunds or partial refunds will not be processed for registrants who choose to leave their program early.
- Payment made for registrations may not be transferred from one annual meeting to another. All cancellations policies apply.
- Refunds may take up to thirty (30) days to be processed.

The earliest check-in date is Saturday, June 20, 2020 (06/20/2020).
The latest check-out date is Friday, June 26, 2020 (06/26/2020).
Check-in time is after 4:00pm on arrival date, check-out time is by 11:00am on departure date.
Accommodations are located at the Village Apartments, one of the University’s newest communities. Located just a few miles from La Jolla’s famous beaches, shopping, and dining, the apartments feature modern amenities and are within easy walking distance of everything on campus.
